Karnataka's GIA Initiative Shifts Focus to Measurable Tech Outcomes

Karnataka is revamping its Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) initiative to prioritize tangible results over mere agreements. The focus will now be on joint technology development, startup market access, research, and investments. IT Minister Priyank Kharge emphasized moving from engagement to execution and from MoUs to concrete outcomes. Success will be measured by startups entering new markets, technologies jointly developed, and investments generated. The GIA network, launched in 2017, has expanded to over 40 partner countries, with Karnataka engaging globally with more than 90 nations.

कर्नाटक अपनी ग्लोबल इनोवेशन अलायंस (GIA) पहल को केवल समझौतों के बजाय ठोस नतीजों को प्राथमिकता देने के लिए बदल रहा है। अब ध्यान संयुक्त टेक्नोलॉजी विकास, स्टार्टअप को बाज़ार तक पहुँच, रिसर्च और निवेश पर होगा। IT मंत्री प्रियंका खड़गे ने कहा कि अब सिर्फ बातचीत से आगे बढ़कर काम करने और MoUs से ठोस नतीजों की ओर बढ़ना है। सफलता को इस आधार पर मापा जाएगा कि कितने स्टार्टअप नए बाज़ारों में पहुँचते हैं, कितनी टेक्नोलॉजी मिलकर विकसित होती हैं और कितना निवेश आता है। 2017 में शुरू हुआ GIA नेटवर्क अब 40 से ज़्यादा देशों तक फैल चुका है, और कर्नाटक 90 से ज़्यादा देशों के साथ वैश्विक स्तर पर जुड़ा हुआ है।
