A 46-year-old man has been arrested by Panvel city police for allegedly stabbing a 50-year-old auto rickshaw owner to death. The incident occurred after a verbal dispute when the victim confronted the accused at his vada pav stall. The victim accused the stall owner of defaming his son by alleging unpaid rent and selling auto spare parts. The confrontation escalated into a physical fight, during which the accused allegedly used an ice pick, resulting in the victim's death. Police detained the accused after locals alerted them.

पनवेल शहर पुलिस ने 50 वर्षीय ऑटो रिक्शा मालिक की कथित तौर पर चाकू मारकर हत्या करने के आरोप में 46 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। यह घटना तब हुई जब पीड़ित आरोपी के वड़ा पाव स्टॉल पर पहुंचा और दोनों के बीच कहासुनी हुई। पीड़ित ने स्टॉल मालिक पर अपने बेटे की बदनामी करने का आरोप लगाया था, जिसमें किराया न देने और ऑटो के पुर्जे बेचने की बात कही गई थी। यह कहासुनी मारपीट में बदल गई, जिसमें कथित तौर पर आरोपी ने आइस पिक का इस्तेमाल किया, जिससे पीड़ित की मौत हो गई। स्थानीय लोगों की सूचना पर पुलिस ने आरोपी को हिरासत में ले लिया।
