BJP Backs Punjab Employees' Mass Leave, Slams AAP Govt Over Unfulfilled Promises

Employees are protesting pending demands, including dearness allowance, restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, and regularisation of contractual staff. Sharma stated that the government must address grievances through dialogue rather than forcing employees to protest for their legitimate rights.

बीजेपी विधायक अश्विनी कुमार शर्मा ने पंजाब सरकार के कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों के दो दिवसीय सामूहिक अवकाश और 22 की योजना का समर्थन किया है। उन्होंने आम आदमी पार्टी सरकार पर कर्मचारी-विरोधी नीतियां अपनाने और अपनी प्रतिबद्धताओं का सम्मान करने में विफल रहने का आरोप लगाया। कर्मचारी महंगाई भत्ता, पुरानी पेंशन योजना की बहाली और संविदा कर्मचारियों को नियमित करने सहित लंबित मांगों के विरोध में हैं। शर्मा ने कहा कि सरकार को कर्मचारियों को उनके वैध अधिकारों के लिए विरोध करने के लिए मजबूर करने के बजाय बातचीत के माध्यम से शिकायतों का समाधान करना चाहिए।
