Kerala Govt to Re-examine 488 Bar Licences Issued During Previous LDF Rule

Kerala's new UDF government will conduct a thorough review of 488 bar licences granted under the previous LDF administration. Excise Minister M Liju stated that action will be taken if any irregularities are discovered during this examination. These licences were reportedly issued over a decade by the former Pinarayi Vijayan governments, utilising an amendment from June 2017 that allowed certain establishments to regain licences.

केरल की नई UDF सरकार पिछली LDF प्रशासन के तहत दिए गए 488 बार लाइसेंसों की गहन समीक्षा करेगी। आबकारी मंत्री एम. एलियू ने कहा कि इस जांच के दौरान किसी भी अनियमितता का पता चलने पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी। ये लाइसेंस कथित तौर पर पूर्व पिनाराई विजयन सरकारों द्वारा एक दशक से अधिक समय से जारी किए गए थे, जिसमें जून 2017 के एक संशोधन का उपयोग किया गया था जिसने कुछ प्रतिष्ठानों को लाइसेंस वापस पाने की अनुमति दी थी।
