Authorities have busted a major inter-state fake currency syndicate in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, after discovering over ₹4.63 lakh in counterfeit notes at an Axis Bank branch. The fake notes included denominations of ₹200, ₹100, ₹20, and ₹10. A special investigation team has been formed to trace the mastermind behind this operation. The discovery follows a similar incident in Saharanpur, suggesting deep roots of an organized economic syndicate in western Uttar Pradesh.

मेरठ, उत्तर प्रदेश में एक बड़े नकली नोट सिंडिकेट का भंडाफोड़ हुआ है। एक्सिस बैंक की एक शाखा में ₹4.63 लाख से ज़्यादा के नकली नोट मिले हैं। इनमें ₹200, ₹100, ₹20 और ₹10 के नोट शामिल थे। इस मामले के मास्टरमाइंड का पता लगाने के लिए एक स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम बनाई गई है। सहारनपुर में भी ऐसी ही घटना हुई थी, जिससे पता चलता है कि पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश में नकली नोटों का धंधा काफी फैला हुआ है।
