Ketan Agrawal Murder Trial Begins; Ujjwal Nikam Appointed Special Prosecutor

The trial for the murder of Ketan Agrawal, allegedly pushed to his death from Lohagad Fort, commenced at the Wadgaon Maval sessions court. Noted lawyer Ujjwal Nikam is appearing as the special prosecutor for the case. The prosecution is set to present its opening arguments on November 17, the same day bail and discharge applications for accused Siya Goyal will be heard. The defence has requested access to police evidence, citing its insufficiency for conviction. All three accused appeared via video conference from jail.

लोहागढ़ फोर्ट से कथित तौर पर धक्का देकर हत्या किए गए केतन अग्रवाल का मुकदमा वाडगांव मावल सत्र न्यायालय में शुरू हो गया है। जाने-माने वकील उज्ज्वल निकम इस मामले में विशेष अभियोजक के तौर पर पेश होंगे। अभियोजन पक्ष 17 नवंबर को अपनी शुरुआती दलीलें पेश करेगा, उसी दिन आरोपी सिया गोयल की जमानत और डिस्चार्ज याचिका पर सुनवाई होगी। बचाव पक्ष ने सजा के लिए पुलिस के सबूतों की अपर्याप्तता का हवाला देते हुए उन तक पहुंच का अनुरोध किया है। तीनों आरोपी जेल से वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए पेश हुए।
