CJP Questions Award to School Where Student Died

CJP has questioned a private news channel's decision to honour Neerja Modi School in Jaipur with an award. This comes after the death of nine-year-old student Amaira last November, who allegedly died after falling from the school building. Amaira's parents claimed she faced bullying and her complaints were ignored. CBSE had previously cancelled the school's affiliation for Classes 9-12 due to safety violations.

सीजेआई ने जयपुर के नीरजा मोदी स्कूल को एक निजी न्यूज़ चैनल द्वारा दिए गए अवार्ड पर सवाल उठाए हैं। यह पिछले नवंबर में नौ साल की छात्रा अमैरा की मौत के बाद हुआ है, जिसकी कथित तौर पर स्कूल बिल्डिंग से गिरने से मौत हो गई थी। अमैरा के माता-पिता ने आरोप लगाया कि उनकी बेटी को धमकाया जाता था और उसकी शिकायतें अनसुनी की गईं। इससे पहले CBSE ने सुरक्षा उल्लंघनों के कारण स्कूल की कक्षा 9-12 की संबद्धता रद्द कर दी थी।
