Pakistan's commitment to Saudi Arabia's security under a mutual defence pact signed in August is being questioned amid ongoing Houthi attacks. The Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, intended to create a collective security arrangement, has seen no visible action from Pakistan despite intensified missile and drone strikes on Saudi cities. While Pakistan maintains a significant military presence in Saudi Arabia, fully funded by Riyadh, these forces have not been activated. This inaction is notable given Pakistan's central role in other Saudi-led security frameworks.
