Nike Believes Air Technology Has Not Reached Its Limits

Nike's Vice President of Running Footwear, Bret Schoolmeester, stated that the company has not yet discovered the full potential of its Air technology. This comes as Nike prepares to launch the Apex, a marathon racer featuring four Air Zoom units, and the Alphafly 4 with two similar units. Nike has improved the Air Zoom unit by switching from heat-based sealing to radio-frequency welding, making each unit 30 percent lighter. This innovation allows for more units to be incorporated into shoes, enhancing performance and energy return for runners.
