Arappor Alleges Irregularities in Affiliation Granted to 74 Private Education Colleges

The anti-corruption organisation Arappor Iyakkam has alleged irregularities in the affiliation approvals granted to 74 private colleges of education by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. The organisation questioned the inspection process, citing a single day's inspection of five colleges across three districts covering 560 km. Further discrepancies include principals listed at two colleges simultaneously and 37 faculty members with the same names listed against 222 vacancies. Arappor Iyakkam has demanded a government inquiry into these alleged irregularities and action against colleges and university officials involved.
