A 41-year-old man has been arrested in Kollam for allegedly murdering his 65-year-old mother-in-law following a family dispute. The accused, K Sivan, reportedly attacked Shyamala with a wooden piece after an argument with his wife, Rajani, and her mother. Shyamala was initially hospitalized and placed on a ventilator but succumbed to her injuries. Sivan, who fled the scene, was apprehended and initially charged with attempted murder. Additional charges, including murder, are expected following the victim's death.
