ASI Begins Rs 45 Lakh Conservation Work At Taj Mahal's Mehman Khana

ASI has commenced conservation work on the Mehman Khana, situated on the eastern side of the Taj Mahal's main mausoleum. This project, estimated to cost over Rs 45 lakh, will focus on restoring stonework, inlay designs, and replacing deteriorated flooring. Scaffolding is being erected to address loosened or fallen stones in the decorative inlay work, with damaged stones to be replaced and joints repointed.

भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण (ASI) ने ताजमहल के मुख्य मकबरे के पूर्वी तरफ स्थित मेहमान खाने में संरक्षण का काम शुरू कर दिया है। इस प्रोजेक्ट में ₹45 लाख से ज़्यादा का खर्च आएगा और इसमें पत्थर के काम, जड़ाऊ डिज़ाइन को ठीक करने और खराब हो चुके फर्श को बदलने पर ध्यान दिया जाएगा। जड़ाऊ काम में ढीले या गिरे हुए पत्थरों को ठीक करने के लिए मचान लगाए जा रहे हैं, खराब पत्थरों को बदला जाएगा और जोड़ों को फिर से भरा जाएगा।
