The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has implemented Stage II of the Graded Response Action Plan (Grap) across Delhi-NCR with immediate effect. This action was taken after AQI surged to 325, entering the 'very poor' category. The AQI saw a sharp increase from 117 on October 31 to 324 on November 2. Unfavorable meteorological conditions have been cited as the primary reason for this deterioration. Forecasters predict the AQI will remain in the 'very poor' range for the upcoming days.
