वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने टाटा ट्रस्ट्स और टाटा संस के बीच विवाद पर टिप्पणी की है, और सौहार्दपूर्ण तथा आंतरिक समाधान का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था में टाटा समूह की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका और इसके सामान्य कामकाज के जारी रहने के महत्व पर जोर दिया। सीतारमण ने सरकार पर समूह को अस्थिर करने के प्रयास के आरोपों को खारिज कर दिया, यह कहते हुए कि ऐसे नाजुक मामलों में व्यावसायिक निर्णय और सौहार्द की आवश्यकता होती है। उन्होंने कुछ कॉर्पोरेट समूहों के प्रति सरकार के पक्षपात के दावों को भी खारिज कर दिया।
