First Batch of Agniveers to Exit in November; Benefits and Re-employment Plans Detailed

The first batch of Agniveers, recruited for a four-year term under the Agnipath scheme, will complete their service. While 75% of these recruits will be discharged, the remaining 25% are eligible for permanent service. Those exiting will receive a tax-free 'Seva Nidhi' package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh, along with ₹48 lakh insurance and a skill certificate. The Home Ministry is developing a portal to facilitate their re-employment in CAPF and Assam Rifles, offering 50% reservation and exemptions from physical and written tests.

अग्निपथ योजना के तहत चार साल के कार्यकाल के लिए भर्ती हुए अग्निवीरों का पहला बैच अपनी सेवा पूरी करेगा। इन रंगरूटों में से 75% को डिस्चार्ज कर दिया जाएगा, जबकि शेष 25% स्थायी सेवा के लिए पात्र होंगे। बाहर निकलने वालों को लगभग ₹10.04 लाख का टैक्स-फ्री 'सेवा निधि' पैकेज, ₹48 लाख का बीमा और एक स्किल सर्टिफिकेट मिलेगा। गृह मंत्रालय CAPF और असम राइफल्स में उनके पुनः रोज़गार की सुविधा के लिए एक पोर्टल विकसित कर रहा है, जिसमें 50% आरक्षण और शारीरिक व लिखित परीक्षाओं से छूट दी जाएगी।
