For marriage or divorce surname changes, an affidavit and Proof of Identity are needed. Data-entry errors require specific affidavits based on age, along with PoI or PoR. Complete name changes, signifying a shift in identity, now mandate a Gazette Notification.

आधार नाम सुधार नियम 2026 के लिए अपडेट हुए बदलाव के लिए नए दस्तावेज़ ज़रूरी

UIDAI ने आधार नाम अपडेट के लिए स्टैंडर्ड ऑपरेटिंग प्रोसीजर को 18 सितंबर से लागू करते हुए रिवाइज किया है, जिसमें 2026 के लिए नए दस्तावेज़ों की ज़रूरत होगी। मामूली स्पेलिंग सुधार, फोनेटिक बदलाव या इनिशियल जोड़ने जैसे बदलावों को पहचान में बड़े बदलावों से अलग माना जाता है। शादी या तलाक के कारण सरनेम बदलने के लिए एफिडेविट और पहचान का प्रमाण (Proof of Identity) चाहिए। डेटा-एंट्री की गलतियों के लिए उम्र के आधार पर खास एफिडेविट, साथ में PoI या PoR की ज़रूरत होगी। पहचान में बदलाव का संकेत देने वाले पूरे नाम बदलने के लिए अब गैजेट नोटिफिकेशन की ज़रूरत होगी।
