CJP Activists Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka Arrested For Trespassing At Jantar Mantar

Delhi Police have arrested Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) activists Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka, and Ajinkya Shinde for allegedly trespassing at the Jantar Mantar protest site. The activists were taken into preventive custody and were to be produced before a magistrate. CJP's legal team head Ratna Singh alleged that police acted arbitrarily, denied access to lawyers for nearly 24 hours, and were not initially informed of the grounds for detention. Singh further criticised the police for allegedly dealing harshly with peaceful protesters while criminals roam freely.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के कार्यकर्ताओं सौरव दास, आशुतोष रांका और अजिंक्य शिंदे को जंतर मंतर विरोध स्थल पर कथित तौर पर घुसपैठ करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। कार्यकर्ताओं को निवारक हिरासत में लिया गया था और उन्हें एक मजिस्ट्रेट के सामने पेश किया जाना था। CJP की कानूनी टीम की प्रमुख रत्ना सिंह ने आरोप लगाया कि पुलिस ने मनमाने ढंग से काम किया, लगभग 24 घंटे तक वकीलों को मिलने नहीं दिया, और उन्हें शुरू में हिरासत के आधार के बारे में सूचित नहीं किया गया था। सिंह ने आगे पुलिस की आलोचना की कि वे कथित तौर पर शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शनकारियों के साथ सख्ती से पेश आए जबकि अपराधी खुले घूम रहे हैं।
