Shiv Sena UBT Leader Shot Dead in Thane

UBT leader Pradeep (Bala) Purnekar was shot dead in Thane, Maharashtra, night. Unknown assailants fired two rounds at him and also assaulted him before fleeing the scene. Purnekar, who was the Thane division chief for the Uddhav Thackeray-led party, was rushed to Infinity Hospital near R Mall but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. शिवसेना (यूबीटी) के नेता प्रदीप (बाला) पूर्णेकर की रात ठाणे, महाराष्ट्र में गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। अज्ञात हमलावरों ने उन पर दो राउंड फायर किए और भागने से पहले उन पर हमला भी किया। उद्धव ठाकरे के नेतृत्व वाली पार्टी के ठाणे डिवीजन प्रमुख पूर्णेकर को आर मॉल के पास इन्फिनिटी अस्पताल ले जाया गया, लेकिन इलाज के दौरान उनकी मौत हो गई। पुलिस मकसद की जांच कर रही है, सीसीटीवी फुटेज की समीक्षा कर रही है और हमलावरों को पकड़ने के लिए नाकेबंदी कर दी है। इस घटना से इलाके में तनाव है और पार्टी नेताओं ने त्वरित न्याय की मांग की है।
