Customs Seize Over ₹3 Crore Worth of Jewellery and Gemstones at Delhi Airport

Customs officials at Delhi's IGI Airport have seized approximately ₹3.04 crore worth of jewellery and precious stones from a passenger arriving from Bangkok. The individual was apprehended at Terminal 3 after being stopped based on spot profiling. During searches of the passenger's belongings and associated locations, 3,200 pieces of gemstones and jewellery valued at ₹1.01 crore were recovered. Further searches at a related location yielded 196.676 kg of rough emeralds, cut-polish rubies, and cut-polish emeralds, valued at approximately ₹2.02 crore.
