Prakasam district is enhancing security measures for the upcoming local body elections, with check posts established and special inspections underway to prevent the movement of cash and illicit liquor. Superintendent of Police V. Harshavardhan Raju inspected polling stations in Darsi and Addanki Municipalities, assuring robust arrangements for peaceful and transparent elections. Approximately 85% of individuals with criminal histories have been placed under preventive legal orders and are under surveillance. Authorities are also monitoring accommodation establishments for foreigner details, with penalties for non-compliance.
