Undernourished Population Falls 42%, Food Cost A Challenge

A UN report indicates India's undernourished population has decreased by 42% between 2019 and 2025. During the same period, the number of Indians unable to afford a healthy diet also saw a significant drop of nearly 29 per cent. Despite this progress in reducing undernourishment, the high cost of food remains a substantial challenge for many citizens.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, 2019 से 2025 के बीच भारत में कुपोषित लोगों की संख्या 42% कम हुई है। इसी दौरान, स्वस्थ आहार का खर्च उठाने में असमर्थ भारतीयों की संख्या में भी लगभग 29% की बड़ी गिरावट आई है। कुपोषण कम करने में यह प्रगति अच्छी है, लेकिन भोजन की ऊंची कीमतें अभी भी कई नागरिकों के लिए एक बड़ी चुनौती बनी हुई हैं।
