Kerala Child Rights Panel Takes Suo Motu Case In Boy's Death

The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has suo motu registered a case following the death of a 14-year-old boy at a wedding function in Parassala. The boy's relatives allege that the incident occurred due to careless installation of ornamental lights. The commission has requested explanations from local police and the district child protection officer. The acting chairperson and a member of the commission visited the boy's home and the site of the incident.
