Giant Machine for India's First Biopolymer Plant Stuck on Road in UP

India's first and largest biopolymer plant is being established at Balrampur Chini Mills Limited's Kumbhi sugar mill in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. The plant, costing ₹3,000 crore, will produce polylactic acid (PLA) from sugar. A massive 'Cyclisation Reactor' machine from Belgium, costing over ₹10 crore for transport, has arrived in Varanasi after a six-month journey. The 260-wheeled trailer carrying the machine got stuck on a muddy road near the Dafi toll plaza, requiring iron sheets and multiple vehicles to move it forward.
