Many believe heavy sweating signifies an effective workout and increased fat burning. However, cardiologists explain that sweating is primarily the body's cooling mechanism, not a direct measure of heart exertion. Your heart rate and breathing increase with exercise intensity as muscles demand more oxygen. While sweating indicates your body is cooling down, it doesn't reflect how hard your heart is working. बहुत से लोग मानते हैं कि खूब पसीना आना मतलब अच्छा वर्कआउट हुआ और फैट ज्यादा जला। लेकिन, कार्डियोलॉजिस्ट बताते हैं कि पसीना तो बस शरीर को ठंडा रखने का तरीका है, इससे दिल की कसरत का सीधा पता नहीं चलता। कसरत की तेजी से दिल की धड़कन और सांसें तेज होती हैं क्योंकि मांसपेशियों को ज्यादा ऑक्सीजन चाहिए। पसीना आने का मतलब है कि शरीर ठंडा हो रहा है, पर इससे यह नहीं पता चलता कि दिल कितना जोर लगा रहा है।
