Supreme Court Asks NCLAT, NCLT Presidents To Submit Infrastructure Proposals
The Hindu · india
The Supreme Court has directed the presidents of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to submit comprehensive proposals within four weeks. These proposals should detail infrastructure, building, and staffing requirements necessary to enhance the tribunals' daily operations. The court also requested the Centre to ensure basic amenities are provided promptly. These directives come amid reports of collapsing infrastructure at the NCLT Principal Bench, with courts functioning at half strength due to member shortages and inadequate facilities.
