Toddler Raped, Strangled By Neighbour in UP; Villagers Pelt Stones At Police

A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped and strangled to death by a 30-year-old neighbour in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, after being lured into a field. The accused was apprehended by the family and later shot in the leg by police when he attempted to escape. When authorities tried to retrieve the child's body, angry villagers pelted stones at police vehicles, damaging six cars. Police dispersed the crowd and sent the body for post-mortem. A case has been registered under relevant laws.

उत्तर प्रदेश के हमीरपुर में एक 30 वर्षीय पड़ोसी ने कथित तौर पर एक 3 साल की बच्ची को खेत में बहला-फुसलाकर ले जाने के बाद रेप किया और गला घोंटकर मार डाला। आरोपी को परिवार ने पकड़ लिया था और बाद में पुलिस ने भागने की कोशिश करते समय उसके पैर में गोली मार दी। जब अधिकारियों ने बच्ची के शव को निकालने की कोशिश की, तो गुस्साए ग्रामीणों ने पुलिस वाहनों पर पथराव किया, जिससे छह कारें क्षतिग्रस्त हो गईं। पुलिस ने भीड़ को तितर-बितर कर दिया और शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया। संबंधित कानूनों के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है।
