Experts at The Hindu Sustainability Summit 2026 advocated treating wastewater as a valuable economic resource. P. Kannan of CPCL highlighted their reduce, reuse, and recycle approach, producing steam from recycled water. Mukesh Mohan of IOCL detailed plans to replace fresh water intake with treated sewage water in cities like Vadodara and Guwahati.
