Consumer Commission Orders Dealer To Refund Rs 2.51 Lakh For Blacklisted Car

A Punjab district consumer commission has ordered a pre-owned car dealer to refund Rs 2.51 lakh to a buyer whose purchased Maruti WagonR was found to be blacklisted in a high court case. The commission found the dealer deficient in service for failing to verify the vehicle's legal status before sale. The buyer had purchased the car for Rs 2.51 lakh and later discovered it was blacklisted by the Punjab and Haryana high court.

पंजाब की एक जिला उपभोक्ता आयोग ने एक पुरानी कार बेचने वाले डीलर को ग्राहक को ₹2.51 लाख वापस करने का आदेश दिया है। ग्राहक ने जो Maruti WagonR खरीदी थी, वह हाई कोर्ट के एक मामले में ब्लैकलिस्टेड पाई गई। आयोग ने पाया कि डीलर ने बिक्री से पहले गाड़ी की कानूनी स्थिति की जांच नहीं की, जो सेवा में कमी है। ग्राहक ने कार ₹2.51 लाख में खरीदी थी और बाद में पता चला कि वह पंजाब और हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट द्वारा ब्लैकलिस्टेड है।
