Man Arrested in Begum Bazar for Selling Liquor at Higher Prices on Gandhi Jayanti

A 29-year-old man was arrested in Begum Bazar for allegedly selling liquor at inflated prices on Gandhi Jayanti. Police apprehended Arjun Singh near Labour Adda around 1 p.m. on Friday, seizing 20 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor. He reportedly purchased the alcohol at lower rates and exploited the closure of wine shops for profit. Singh has a history of seven previous cases, including under the NDPS Act and Telangana Excise Act. He was remanded to judicial custody after being produced before a court.

गांधी जयंती पर कथित तौर पर ऊंचे दामों पर शराब बेचने के आरोप में बेगम बाजार में 29 वर्षीय एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। पुलिस ने शुक्रवार दोपहर करीब 1 बजे अर्जुन सिंह को लेबर अड्डा के पास पकड़ा और भारतीय-निर्मित विदेशी शराब की 20 बोतलें जब्त कीं। उसने कथित तौर पर शराब कम दाम पर खरीदी थी और मुनाफे के लिए शराब की दुकानों के बंद होने का फायदा उठाया। सिंह का NDPS एक्ट और तेलंगाना आबकारी अधिनियम सहित सात पिछले मामलों का इतिहास है। अदालत में पेश किए जाने के बाद उसे न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया।
