Activist's 8 Months of Work Wasted As Ajnar River Choked With Garbage Again
Hindustan Times · environment
Surendra Singh Choudhary, known as 'Bittu Tabahi', has expressed deep disappointment after the Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh district became choked with garbage again, just weeks after his extensive cleanup efforts. Choudhary had dedicated eight months to single-handedly removing tonnes of waste from the river without specialized equipment. Despite the setback, he has resumed his cleanup work, collecting rubbish bag by bag. His efforts highlight the persistent challenge of river pollution and the need for greater civic responsibility to prevent waste accumulation.
