Times of India · health
Mumbai's Cooper Hospital has had its public-private-partnership blood bank licence suspended by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for two days, starting today. The blood bank, operated by Samarprit Bahuddeshiya Sevabhavi Vikas Sanstha, will resume services from midnight on November 7. Hospital authorities stated they will rely on the blood bank at Jogeshwari's Trauma Hospital for the interim period. FDA officials cited a lack of proper documentation as a key reason for the suspension, noting that a 90-day notice had been previously issued.
