Karnataka Voters To Get Polling Booth Within 2 Km
Times of India · politics
Every voter in Karnataka will soon have a polling booth within a 2 km radius of their home, with officials confirming the final electoral roll will be published. A rationalisation exercise increased the total number of polling stations to 60,923, ensuring a dedicated booth-level officer (BLO) for each. BLOs serve as the primary contact for voters and will remain assigned to their blocks. The process involved locking electoral rolls, processing additions and deletions, and centralising data for verification before the final publication.
