Guntur district Collector C.M. Saikanth Varma commended the public's courage and cooperation during Cyclone Murasu, which caused significant hardships and destruction. The cyclone brought heavy rainfall, uprooting nearly 100 trees and damaging 17 roads, though five roads have since been restored. The administration successfully relocated 4,217 people to 58 relief centers and provided essential facilities, including food for travelers. Power disruptions affected 55 villages, with restoration efforts underway, and crop-loss assessments are being conducted to ensure farmer compensation.
