A Bengaluru tenant has sparked debate on Reddit after her landlord demanded identification from male visitors, including relatives. The tenant, who pays ₹14,000 monthly for a 1BHK in Doddanekkundi, was initially assured by the broker and owner's son that friends could visit freely. However, after moving in, the landlord began imposing restrictions, stating unmarried women tenants should not have male visitors. He also demanded written permission for relatives and friends to stay, a clause added to the draft rental agreement.
