This initiative aims to enhance the state's bomb detection and anti-sabotage preparedness. Each detector costs approximately ₹29.98 lakh. These devices will be deployed with specialized units like Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads and anti-mine teams. The HHEDs are expected to strengthen operational readiness by enabling faster detection of explosive materials during routine checks and threat response operations.
