Suzuki has outlined a lightweight engineering program targeting a 100 kg vehicle weight reduction by 2030, aiming to improve efficiency without compromising safety. The initiative involves changes to vehicle structures, materials, and components, drawing expertise from its automobile and motorcycle divisions. Suzuki is also developing lighter CNG cylinders, potentially reducing their weight from 60 kg to 20 kg. These efforts could lead to more efficient cars and CNG models with improved practicality for Indian buyers.

सुजुकी ने 2030 तक गाड़ी का वज़न 100 किलो कम करने का प्लान बताया है। वे सुरक्षा से समझौता किए बिना माइलेज बढ़ाना चाहते हैं। इसके लिए गाड़ी के ढांचे, मटेरियल और पुर्जों में बदलाव किए जाएंगे। सुजुकी हल्की सीएनजी सिलेंडर भी बना रही है, जिससे वज़न 60 किलो से घटकर 20 किलो हो सकता है। इससे भारतीय खरीदारों के लिए ज़्यादा माइलेज वाली और प्रैक्टिकल कारें बनेंगी।
