Greek PM Urges UK to Return Elgin Marbles

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has urged Andy Burnham to find the political will to permanently return the Parthenon sculptures, also known as the Elgin Marbles, to Greece. Mitsotakis stated that the UK's loan of the Bayeux Tapestry does not provide a suitable template for an agreement. He emphasized that Greece cannot accept arrangements that imply British Museum ownership or require them to 'borrow' parts of their own monument.
