A new study involving nearly 4.62 lakh people in the US has found no clear link between the total consumption of ultra-processed foods and colorectal cancer. Researchers analyzed data from the NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study, monitoring participants aged 50-71 for an average of 18.8 years. While the overall consumption of ultra-processed foods did not show a statistically significant association with cancer, the study does not deem these foods entirely safe.
