Singer Armaan Malik has responded to the controversy surrounding the song 'Mangal Rang' from the film 'Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend'. Critics have raised concerns about the song's Sufi-qawwali influences, deeming them out of place for a film based on the Hindu epic. Comparisons have also been drawn to AR Rahman's previous compositions. Malik, who sang the Kannada version, stated that the music team aimed for a sonic experience reflecting the divine love portrayed by actors Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
