US Senator Marco Rubio to Meet EAM Jaishankar in Mumbai

US Senator Marco Rubio will meet External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in Mumbai to review the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Discussions are expected to cover energy, trade, investment, defense, and emerging technologies. The Ministry of External Affairs clarified that hosting foreign leaders outside Delhi is a decade-old tradition, citing past examples. The meeting also coincides with Rubio's participation as chief guest for the 250th anniversary of American Independence celebrations. Both sides will also exchange views on regional and global developments.
