This tax-exempt fuel, normally for off-road use, could save truckers over $100 per fill-up. However, the move faces practical challenges for retailers and potential logistical issues. Global supply disruptions due to conflicts in Iran and Ukraine have significantly driven up diesel prices, which have risen around 70 percent since February.
