IMF Warns Asia's Growth Faces Energy Shock and AI Correction Risks

The International Monetary Fund has warned that Asia's economic growth is projected to moderate next year due to significant risks. These include an energy shock potentially triggered by the Middle East conflict, a possible correction in the artificial intelligence boom, and rising global bond yields. The IMF also cautioned that uncertainty surrounding US monetary policy could lead to continued volatility in Asian financial markets, increasing pressure on exchange rates and capital flows. While growth projections were revised upwards, they still indicate a slowdown from 2025 levels.
