Fintech Education Needs Broader Focus Beyond Technology Skills

India's digital financial ecosystem is expanding rapidly, with the RBI's Financial Inclusion Index reaching 70.0 and UPI processing billions of transactions. Universities preparing fintech professionals must address the gap between easy transactions and complex financial decisions. While technical skills like coding and AI are crucial, graduates also need to understand finance, regulation, and human behaviour to design user-friendly products. Interdisciplinary learning, pairing finance and technology students, helps bridge this gap by fostering better communication and a deeper understanding of user needs and financial implications.

भारत का डिजिटल वित्तीय इकोसिस्टम तेजी से बढ़ रहा है, RBI का वित्तीय समावेशन सूचकांक 70.0 पर पहुंच गया है और UPI अरबों लेनदेन को प्रोसेस कर रहा है। फिनटेक पेशेवरों को तैयार करने वाले विश्वविद्यालयों को आसान लेनदेन और जटिल वित्तीय निर्णयों के बीच के अंतर को दूर करना होगा। कोडिंग और AI जैसे तकनीकी कौशल महत्वपूर्ण हैं, लेकिन उपयोगकर्ताओं के अनुकूल उत्पाद डिजाइन करने के लिए स्नातकों को वित्त, विनियमन और मानव व्यवहार को भी समझने की आवश्यकता है। वित्त और प्रौद्योगिकी के छात्रों को जोड़कर अंतःविषय शिक्षण इस अंतर को पाटने में मदद करता है, जिससे बेहतर संचार और उपयोगकर्ता की जरूरतों और वित्तीय निहितार्थों की गहरी समझ को बढ़ावा मिलता है।
