US forces disabled a Panama-flagged commercial cargo vessel in the Gulf of Oman after its crew ignored warnings and attempted to bypass a naval blockade against Iran. A US military fighter jet struck the ship's stern, disabling its propulsion without harming the crew. CENTCOM stated its forces resumed the blockade on July 14, disabling four vessels and turning around 135 ships in three months. Over the same period, US forces destroyed 10 tankers linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps' network.
