A report by civic tech initiative 'Charchagram' reveals that the ECI ECINet platform has a feature enabling central control over state-level access. The platform's State Nodal Officer management area includes a built-in disable action, allowing access to enumeration form details to be switched on or off for individual states. This functionality is significant given recent objections raised by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi regarding the centralisation of ECINet and the electoral roll database.
