Bus operators across Jharkhand are increasing inter-state services to accommodate the surge in travel demand for Diwali and Chhath festivities. With train tickets to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar fully booked, many passengers are turning to buses. In Ranchi, advance bookings have risen significantly for destinations in Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. Jamshedpur has added approximately 50 extra buses, with routes to Bihar seeing a notable increase. Despite the heightened demand, bus fares have reportedly remained unchanged, making buses a crucial option for many migrant workers and employees.
