A domestic abuse survivor, identified as Jane, alleged her ex-husband used the My BMW App to remotely control her car, track her location, and harass her. He would open doors, start the engine, and leave windows open in the rain. Jane contacted her BMW dealership to remove his access, but they stated they lacked the authority. Despite providing proof of abuse, divorce decrees, and ownership documents, the dealership advised her to buy a new car.
