Tamil Nadu's First Booth-less Toll System Becomes Operational at Paranur

Tamil Nadu's first booth-less toll system has become operational at the Paranur toll plaza on the Chennai-Tiruchi National Highway. The facility features a multi-lane free flow (MLFF) system, replacing manned booths with gantries equipped with RFID readers and cameras. Vehicles with FASTag or exempt tags can pass through without stopping, as their tags are scanned ahead of the plaza. Vehicles without tags or insufficient balance will receive challans. This system aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve user experience, especially during peak travel seasons.

तमिलनाडु का पहला बूथ-लेस टोल सिस्टम पारानूर में चालू हुआ

चेन्नई-तिरुचि नेशनल हाईवे पर पारानूर टोल प्लाजा पर तमिलनाडु का पहला बूथ-लेस टोल सिस्टम चालू हो गया है। इस सुविधा में मल्टी-लेन फ्री फ्लो (MLFF) सिस्टम है, जिसमें मैन्युअल बूथ की जगह RFID रीडर और कैमरों से लैस गैन्ट्री लगाई गई हैं। FASTag या छूट वाले टैग वाले वाहन बिना रुके निकल सकते हैं, क्योंकि उनके टैग प्लाजा से पहले ही स्कैन हो जाते हैं। टैग न होने या बैलेंस कम होने पर वाहनों को चालान मिलेगा। इस सिस्टम का मकसद ट्रैफिक जाम कम करना और खासकर पीक ट्रैवल सीजन में लोगों का अनुभव बेहतर बनाना है।
