The Karnataka High Court has ordered the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to strictly implement new guidelines for managing its legal cases. This directive follows the court's observation of systematic failures in the BDA's litigation management. The court also mandated that the BDA Commissioner take action against officers who violate these new rules. The guidelines include forming a Litigation Screening Committee, requiring Commissioner approval for case withdrawals or settlements, and digitizing all litigation records. Information on court notices must now be shared via WhatsApp within 24 to 48 hours.
