Tamil Nadu is launching a major ecological restoration project for the Tiruvannamalai hills, aiming to fix damage from soil erosion, fires, and poor drainage. The initiative, led by the Green Tamil Nadu Mission, will cover 962 hectares and cost ₹10 crore. It includes planting native trees, building check dams, and repairing five ponds to increase water storage and prevent landslides. This project seeks to make the hills an eco-model for fragile areas in Tamil Nadu.

तमिलनाडु तिरुवन्नमलई पहाड़ियों को बहाल करेगा

तमिलनाडु तिरुवन्नामलाई पहाड़ियों के लिए एक बड़ा इकोलॉजिकल रेस्टोरेशन प्रोजेक्ट शुरू कर रहा है। इसका मकसद मिट्टी के कटाव, आग और खराब जल निकासी से हुए नुकसान को ठीक करना है। ग्रीन तमिलनाडु मिशन के नेतृत्व में यह प्रोजेक्ट 962 हेक्टेयर में फैलेगा और इसमें ₹10 करोड़ खर्च होंगे। इसमें स्थानीय पेड़ लगाना, चेक डैम बनाना और पांच तालाबों की मरम्मत शामिल है, जिससे पानी का भंडारण बढ़ेगा और भूस्खलन रुकेगा।
